Where should I park for Orientation?
You can park in lots A, B, and M1. For a campus map, please visit www.rowan.edu/visiting_rowan/directions

How soon will I get a parking pass?
You can register for a parking permit at http://www.rowan.edu/safety/services/parking/permit.html .

How long is the orientation program?
The program is from 8:30am to approximately 3:00pm. Please see the itinerary for more information. http://www.rowan.edu/studentaffairs/main_office/orientation/documents/AgendaOnlypdf.pdf

When is lunch?
Check the above itinerary link for your schedule.

What should I bring?
If you have received your credit evaluation, that is an important document to bring with you. If not, please bring a copy of your transcripts so that we may assist you in scheduling.

Paying the Bill
You should also be prepared to pay your spring semester tuition bill the day of orientation in January. For our June Orientation, students will be billed for fall classes.

Will I have to take a placement test?
If you are a new Rowan student with less than 30 credits, you will be required to take a placement test. You can take the test before orientation, but can also do so the day of orientation. Either way, you cannot schedule your classes until the placement tests have been taken. Please call 856-256-4259 to schedule your test.

Will I meet with my advisor at orientation?
You will be given time to meet with your academic advisor at orientation and together you can discuss courses. You will then register for the courses as part of the Orientation. If you are an undeclared student, your advisor is in the CAP center (Career & Academic Planning) in Savitz Hall, Second Floor.

Will I get a copy of my schedule at orientation?
Once you have taken required placement tests, met with your advisor, and chosen your classes, you can register. Registration can be done via the web, (visit http://www.rowan.edu/provost/registrar/courseschedule.html). You can print out your schedule at any time from the Banner system. You can get your Banner ID by visiting www.banner.rowan.edu/mypassword.

Why should I come to orientation?
Orientation is a good day to meet new people, learn your way around campus, and become more familiar with Rowan University. Also, you will be able to meet your advisor, set your schedule, get your Rowan Card made, and ask any questions you have about transitioning to Rowan.

How can I meet people on campus?
Rowan University is a big campus! But that makes it easier to find the people who will become your closest friends. During the beginning of orientation, you will be able to wander through a showcase of Student Organizations, and join any that you find appealing. Becoming involved on campus is the best way to meet new people! You can get your ID card at the Student Information Desk once you have been registered for 24 hours.
