"RU Ready for Rowan" Summer Orientation
Frequently Asked Questions by Students
Do I have to spend the night?
No. However, it is highly recommended that you do because there are numerous evening activities planned for you to get to know other students.
Where will I spend the night?
You will stay in a residence hall, usually Mimosa Hall or Willow Hall.
Can I attend just one day?
The University strongly recommends all incoming students attend both days.
Why is Orientation on two days?
This gives the University time to schedule academic and social activities that encourage student interaction, provide campus engagement and allow students the opportunity to get to know one another and the PROS.
What will I do at Orientation?
If you can’t attend, you will receive your schedule later in the summer with your tuition bill. However, you will miss an opportunity to interact with administrators, faculty, staff and students and learn about the campus community.
When will I get my class schedule?
You will receive your schedule during the advising Sessions on Day 2.
Where do I go on the first day of Orientation?
You should report to Mimosa Hall to register and drop off your belongings. The PROS will escort you to Wilson Hall for the start of Orientation.
What are basic skills requirements?
The University requires every student offered Admission be tested for basic skills competency in Reading, writing and mathematics. Questions about these tests should be directed to the Academic Success Center at 856-256-4259.
