Class Descriptions

AIKIDO: Learn the basics of this unique Japanese Martial Art that teach how to remain calm and focused while improving readiness, fitness and relieving stress. Offered as an introductory course, students will learn effective self-protection techniques of Traditional Aikido as taught at Agatsu Dojos which are based on the redirection of force without aggression or competition. Participants should wear or change into loose, comfortable clothing.

BEACH BODY BOOT CAMP: A high intensity cardiovascular workout combined with some strength training to whip your body into shape for Spring Break

BEGINNER CIRCUIT: Have you been wanting to get started on an exercise program? This is the class for you – a nice 30-minute class where you will get strength/cardiovascular and stretching all in one. This class is for beginners who need education and guidance behind their workout.

BEGINNER CORE AND STRETCH: Have you been wanting to get started on an exercise program? This is the class for you- a 30-minute classes focusing on the abdominal and lower back while improving flexibility .

BELLY DANCE FUSION: A fast-paced dance class incorporating various styles of dance and music! It will focus on weight loss, muscle toning and calorie burning. A great way to get a cardiovascular workout while having fun. No dance background required!

CARDIO PLUS: A workout that combines cardiovascular, agility and body toning to improve strength and endurance. This class will keep your core tight and muscles guessing.

ERIN’S EXPLOSION: Have fun with some creative dance moves to work the core and abs. A true addition to your fitness routine if you like to move

KALORIE KILLER: Enjoy a dynamic combination of strength and aerobic movement in an interval format. Expect to be challenged and stimulated with the use of various exercise tools, music and creative choreography

INC: Follow the instructor through hills, sprints and all out fun while listening to motivational music to get you through your 45-minute intense bike ride

KICK-N-TONE: A workout that combines cardiovascular, agility and body toning while learning self defense tactics. Improve strength, muscle tone and endurance while reducing body-fat and lowering stress

PILATES: Discover the true meaning of stretching and core strength. This class will teach you the correct way to stretch and the ultimate way to firm up your core. Originally developed to condition professional dancers and athletes, pilates guides you through a multitude of core strengthening and stretching positions.

PiYo™ is the perfect blend of Pilates/Yoga, sports stretch, dance stretch, athletics and more. This is a stretch workout for those who want more than just flexibility; they want to burn calories and build muscle! This dynamic fusion workout is easy on the joints, yet delivers strength, balance, agility and flexibility in one unique calorie burning workout.

PiYo Strength - is a hybrid, athletic workout, which combine the basics of yoga and pilates, as well as strength training, conditioning and dynamic movement. It is set to popular, high energy music and it's a BLAST! It's also a great workout that will make you sore, but feeling refreshed

POWER ABS: A quick blast of the core—great to get that 6-pack and keep your back healthy at the same time.

S&E (Strength and Endurance): This class takes the weight room into the aerobics room for an intense, fat-burning and fun work-out. You’ll use everything from dumbbells to resist-a- bands to resist-a-balls to medicine balls as an aid in strengthening and firming your muscles.

STEP/ STEP N SCULPT: A 45-minute power- packed cardiovascular and strength endurance workout that incorporates basic step movements! This class will assure fun and sweat

STEP N GROOVE/ LATIN STEP: A 45-minute power-packed cardiovascular workout that incorporates basic step and dance movements!

TURBOKICK™ : An addictive, non-stop mix of kickboxing, dance and conditioning with high energy music. Improve your cardio, balance, strength and power

20/20/20: A combination of cardiovascular, strength and stretching. A perfect combination for a total workout.

SPRING SHAPE UP: A cardiovascular workout combined with some calisthenics and strength training to whip your body into shape for the summer!

WATER AEROBICS: This class will combine the best of both worlds: cardio and strength. The movements are basic, easy to follow, and performed individually and in groups. Learn how the water can provide you with awesome strength, power, cardio benefits, and increased flexibility.

WORK-IT CIRCUIT: Think fitness classes won't challenge you? Try this full body work-out that will teach you new combinations to add to your routine including strength, endurance, and cardiovascular training.

BEGINNER YOGA/ YOGA: This ancient natural method for achieving physical, mental and emotional health is the hottest form of exercise right now. This class includes classical yoga postures, warm-ups, breathing techniques, and relaxation methods. Benefits include: stress release, weight control, improved body alignment and flexibility and better concentration. (ALL LEVELS)

ZUMBA : HATE TO EXERCISE BUT LOVE TO DANCE? Created for people like you, Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Cha-Cha. Not only great for the body, but is also great for the mind. It is a "feel- happy" workout. Dance, lose weight and relieve stress all at the same time. It's FUN, the type of exercise you'll want to do everyday and feel good about doing it! (ALL LEVELS)
