The Renegades remain #1 in the rankings as they close out the season with the overall lead in the Catch division. The Hit division still has two days of action left which leaves the league very open to change, but AXP still leads the league coming off a big come from behind victory over the Corked Bats. The Tone Rangers grabbed a win and a tie to division rivals AXP as they remain in the #3 spot this week. Balco is #4 overall, but finished the season second in the Catch division. Finishing up the Top 5 Hot Beef Injection stands at 4-2 and looks to make an impact in the playoffs.

 

Overview:

The Wiffleball league is generally played on Friday afternoons and Sunday afternoons on one basketball court. There are 4 players: Pitcher, catcher, and 2 infielders. Games are 6 innings or a 30-minute time limit. No Fastballs allowed!!! A chair behind homeplayte if hit by the pitcher's toss will determine balls or strikes. There are no baserunners & hit balls will be determined out if fielded cleanly, caught, or where the ball hits/lands. The IM Department provides the wiffleballs and bats. Teams may use their own bats, but both teams must be able to use it.

Registration Information

The deadline for the Wiffleball League is on Wednesday, January 30th at 7pm at the Rec Center Front Desk. All registration forms must be filled out completely with all the relevant information from the captain and the participating teammates. Failure to turn in a form/payment on time may result in a $10 late fee or non-participation in the league.

Teams must submit an availability, with all open times they can participate. Rosters are open during the season and additional players may be added until the playoffs. All participants must submit their Rowan ID # and fill out the waiver prior to participation.

The mandatory captain's meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 30th at 9pm at the Rec Center Conference Room. Any teams not represented at the captain's meeting will be assessed a $10 fee for missing the meeting. If the team captain is not available, a team representative must attend. This meeting will go over the playing procedures and rules for the season and is also an opportunity to ask questions. Free agents are available at the meeting.
