Overview:

**ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER FOR IMLEAGUES.COM IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN INTRAMURALS.**

After the captain creates the team through IMLeagues, individual players must request to join that team and will then be accepted or rejected by their captain. Any player who does not sign up for IMLeagues and who does not join a team through IMLeagues WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE!

The 10 on 10 Softball League consists of 5 divisions: Men's, Women's, Fraternity, Sorority & Co-Rec. Each registered team will receive at least 4 regular season games. The top 2 teams from each division will qualify for the playoffs, provided they have a sportsmanship average of at least 3.5. Teams owing a forfeit fee or that have forfeited 2 contests are not eligible.

The games will be 7 innings or a 50 minute time limit, whichever comes first. Teams must have at least 8 players checked in to avoid a forfeit, and teams have a 5 minute grace period to check-in for the game. The team not checked in can be penalized 1 run per minute (maximum of 4-0 lead) at their opponent's discretion. No extra innings in regular season (results in a tie). NO base stealing or bunting. NO SLIDING! Each base can be overrun similar to running to 1st base. All players may be placed in the batting order.

Co-Rec teams may play in the field with 5 men/5 women, 5 men/4 women, 4 men/ 5 women, or 4 men/4 women. The batting order must alternate in male/female or female/male order at all times. If a female is batting, all outfielders must remain behind the 175 foot arc until the ball is hit. Rovers (including a short center fielder) are not allowed when a female is batting unless they remain behind the 175 foot arc until the ball is hit.

Teams that fail to arrive to their scheduled game will be assessed a $15 missed game fee.

All participants must show valid Rowan ID, sign waiver, and take off jewelry prior to game. Helmets, bats, and softballs will be provided to all participants by the IM Department.

The registration period for the 10 on 10 Softball League is Monday, February 10th to Monday, February 24th . Registration will take place through IM Leagues, but payment must still be made at the Rec Center front desk. The cost is $30/team. All registrations must be fully completed with the team's availability by the captain via IM Leagues. IM Leagues will have predetermined timeslots for different leagues, so the first teams to register will have first choice as to what division and what times they will play their games. Rosters are open via IM Leagues during the season and additional players may be added until playoffs begin. In order to be eligible for playoffs, the participant must have played in at least one (1) regular season game prior to the start of playoffs. All participants must register for an IM Leagues account and fill out the waiver on IM Leagues prior to participation. Failure to register and make the team payment by the deadline may result in the team not being able to participate or being assessed a $15 late fee.

The mandatory captain's meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 4th at 10:30 pm in the Rec Center Group Exercise Room. Any teams not represented at the captain's meeting will be assessed a $15 fee for missing the meeting. If the team captain is not available, a team representative must attend. This meeting will go over the playing procedures and rules for the season and is also an opportunity to ask questions. Free agents should also register for an account on IM Leagues and they may then declare free agent status for a particular sport.

The tentative start for Softball is Sunday, March 9th.
