Entry Deadline:

 

Rowan University will be accepting the first 9 men's teams and first 4 women's teams to submit the completed registration form and fee. There is a limit of 4 Rowan teams for the men's division. There will be a waiting list for each division and teams could be added if the other gender does not fill. Teams will be notified of their registration status via e-mail upon receipt of their registration form and fee. Teams registering later will be placed on a waiting list. The registration deadline is Monday, January 24, 2011.

Entry Fee:

Entry fee is $85.00 per team. This fee becomes non-refundable once a team has been notified that they have been accepted into the tournament (one of the first 9 men's teams or 4 women's teams to register). Teams not admitted into the tournament will be have their fee refunded. Payments may be made by check, credit, debit, or cash. Payments mailed must be postmarked by Monday, January 24th and received no later than Friday, January 28th.

Divisions:

Men’s and Women’s (Rosters are limited to 12 players).

Eligibility:

All players must be enrolled students with a minimum of 1/2 full-time enrollment as an undergraduate or minimum of six hours as a classified graduate student of the representing institution, throughout this event. Players must not be listed as a member of a varsity sport (or on “Squad List”) in the same or related activity and gender during the 2010-11 academic year. Exceptions will be granted for players who were listed on a “Squad List” for less than three weeks. Players must have never been declared a professional player in the same or related activity.

Please visit the NCCS Eligibility Guidelines page for complete stipulations. It is the responsibility of each team and their Intramural/Club Sports Coordinator(s) to ensure eligibility of all players.

Tournament Structure:

Pool play will consist of 3 team pools (exception for the women's pool of 4) and will begin at 12:00pm January 29th . Teams will play a minimum of 2 games for the tournament. Times will be determined based on the number of teams in the tournament. The top one or two teams (depending on the total number of teams) from each pool will advance to a single elimination playoff to be held later the same day. Winners will receive a champion t-shirt and 4 foot trophy.

Requirements:

Teams must bring a light and dark shirt/jersey for games and must have a minimum of 4'' number on the back of the jersey. It is recommended to have #'s on both sides of the jersey/shirt. Black and Gray markers will be made available if #'s are not on shirts. Players may choose #'s:00, 0-5, 10-15, 20-25, 30-35, 40-45, 50-55. Teams may not have 00 and 0 on the team, one or the other. Individual may not play with #'s outside of these parameters.

Mandatory Captain’s Meeting:

Saturday, January 29th at 11:00 AM in the Rowan University Recreation Center, Conference Room. Every team must send one representative.

Check In:

Teams must check in at the Team Registration Table in the Recreation Center from 10am - 11am on Saturday, January 29th. Teams may warm up from 11:15am - 11:45am.
