The Sport Club program is sponsored by the Student Recreation Center at Rowan University’s campus in Glassboro, NJ. The purpose of the Recreation Center and its operations is to create an atmosphere in which the individual participant will be encouraged to cultivate personal interests in the recreational activities of his or her choice. Our foundation rests on the concept that all users are entitled to participate in a variety of programs and activities on a non-discriminatory basis. We join in partnership with other service and academic areas on campus to improve the quality of life for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their families.

Although we have attempted to fill the void, there is always more that can be done, therefore club sports have been started to help those students who are interested in something a little more competitive than intramurals without the stress of being associated with a NCAA team. There are practices, home and away matches, and accountability, but you can have a job, miss a practice, and not have to worry about finding time to study for classes.

Sport Clubs are run out of the Sport Club Office and receive funding through the Recreation Center.
