Kids Rule Summer Day Camp 2012
Kids Rule Summer Day Camp promotes educational experiences and recreational activities that provide a high quality, fun, and safe learning environment. The goal of the camp is to teach each camper the importance of developing lifetime sports and recreational skills while having fun. Educational emphasis is placed on promoting the importance of a lifestyle of health, fitness, and safety. The camp opened its doors in June 1998. It is our goal to provide recreational, motivational, and educational experiences for children going into the first grade through the seventh grade. We offer kids a supervised, positive environment where they can learn and grow through a variety of activities. We feel that camp experiences are an integral part of a child's total education, which offers an opportunity for children to build long lasting friendships while learning valuable life lessons. Kids Rule offers a variety of themed weeks, instructed activities, Monday introductions, and fun Friday specialties. Each weeks games and activities are intended to work off of the theme assigned to the week and allow for the children and counselors to have fun creating new games using the theme as a basis. Daily activities include swimming, arts & crafts, fitness/nutrition, cooperative games, sports, counselor directed activities, and much more. Different sports will be taught each week to better aquaint the children with rules, equipment, and method of play for the sport. Sports are subject to change based on childrens' ability and instructors' preferences. Funtastic Friday's are meant to add a different dynamic to the camp week and offers the children an opportunity to have fun off Rowan's campus in the form of a field trip or stay on campus for some classics such as the annual talent show and slideshow presentation at the end of the summer.
* No camp on Monday July 4th ** Field Trip This Week Registration and Fees Priority registration for RETURNING campers will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis, February 20 - 29. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required per child for each registered session. Payments can be made by cash, credit card, or a check made out to Rowan University. Due to space and facility issues, we will be required to observe a 25 children per group quota without exception. Please make it a point of registering early! Rowan Employees may register March 5-7. Open Enrollment begins March 12th at 8:30 am online and 6am in person at the Rec Center. People will be served on a first come, first served basis. Camp is a tuition for service program based on confirmed enrollments and secured deposits. A $25 non-refundable/non transferable deposit is required at the time of registration for each weekly session per child. Registrations without the required deposit are not considered. The deposit is applied to your tuition. Camp enrollment is limited and spots are held first come, first served. Online registration is available the same day as when we will accept hard copies of registrations. Please note that a credit card is required to register online and a $25 per child per registered session is required to complete the registration process. The above timelines for registering via mail or in person are the same for those registering online. The link to register online will be available on this webpage on the first day of registration.
