First Time Freshman

Applicants who cancel their housing application/assignment are subject to the following penalty:

Cancellation prior to May 1st

  • Students will receive full refund of security deposit.

Cancellation after May 1st AND have not been assigned

  • Students will receive full refund of security deposit.

Cancellation after May 1st AND have been assigned

  • Students will have 3 business days after notification of assignments to cancel their contract without a cancellation fee.
  • Cancellation requests will result in the loss of your $200 security deposit.
  • After the 3 business days, cancellation requests will result in the loss of your $200 security deposit and a $500 cancellation fee.

First Time Transfer

Applicants who cancel their housing application/assignment are subject to the following penalty:

Cancellation prior to May 1st

Cancellation after May 1st AND have been assigned

  • Students will have 3 business days after notification of assignments to cancel their contract without a cancellation fee.

  • After the 3 business days, cancellation requests will result in the loss of your $200 security deposit and a $500 cancellation fee.

Retuning Students (lottery participants)

  • Once a room is selected, students have until 12 noon the day following their designated room selection period, to cancel without penalty.

  • Cancellation requests after 12 noon will result in the loss of your $200 security deposit and a $500 cancellation fee.

  • Cancellation requests after May 1 will be approved contingent upon the existence of a waitlist. If a person from the waitlist fills the space, you will be released from your contract. A loss of your $200 security deposit and a $500 cancellation fee will still apply.

Waitlist Students (lottery participants)

  • Students will have 3 business days after notification of assignments to cancel their contract without penalty.

  • After the 3 business days, cancellation requests will result in the loss of your $200 security deposit and a $500 cancellation fee.

  • Cancellation requests after May 1 will be approved contingent upon the existence of a waitlist. If a person from the waitlist fills the space, you will be released from your contract. A loss of your $200 security deposit and a $500 cancellation fee will still apply.
