Resident Assistant

Residential Learning & University Housing is now recruiting candidates for Resident Assistant positions for the 2016-2017 academic year. Resident Assistants (RAs) are peer leaders trained to help students adjust to the university environment and promote the development of a safe, supportive and inclusive residential community.
We are looking for a diverse pool of undergraduate students to be part of our team. The RA position is a rewarding and challenging leadership position that will develop your interpersonal skills and connect you with lifetime friends and memorable experiences.
All candidates must attend 1 information session before submitting an application. The selection process will be explained in detail at the information sessions. The following are the date & time for these sessions:

Please note the RA employment expectation is a full academic year appointment. As part of the screening process, the applicant’s transcript and discipline record will be reviewed. Applicants should have a 2.5 GPA to be considered and a favorable student discipline record. Benefits of the position include; a single room in the assigned residence hall or apartment, annual stipend of $800, paid bi-weekly during the academic year, a 14 meals/week plan, and lots of professional development. RAs are permitted to work on campus for 10hrs/week from 7:30am – 7:30pm. RAs are not permitted to work off campus due to demands of position.

Community Safety Assistant

Recruitment for Community Safety Assistant (CSA) positions with Residential Learning and University Housing is ongoing. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.

Mail Room Assistant

Reporting to the Residential Learning Coordinator and Residence Directors, Mail Room Assistants for Rowan Blvd. Apartments and the Whitney Center are student workers employed by Residential Learning and University Housing to receive, log, and distribute parcels delivered to satellite mail room locations.
