The Office of Residential Learning & University Housing is seeking individuals to fill the following positions:
Graduate Coordinator/Resident Director Positions
Graduate Resident Director Positions Available for Fall, 2016! The Residential Learning/University Housing Office is accepting applications for Graduate Resident Director positions for the Fall 2016. The Resident Director (RD) position is a live in position. The main responsibilities of the position include; supervising a Resident Assistant (RA) staff, overseeing community building and programming efforts within the hall, reporting/tracking operational administrative functions, serving as a judicial hearing officer and participating in a weekly campus on call duty rotation with the graduate staff. The RD holds daily office hours within the hall and is expected to be available for evening and weekend activities as needed.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and be enrolled in a Rowan Graduate program before they receive an official offer. Residence Life or related student leadership experience is preferred but not required. Application review will begin in early March on a rolling basis until positions are filled.
Benefits: tuition waiver except fees, free furnished apartment, 14/week meal plan and $11,000.00 stipend prorated from July 17, 2016 until May 31, 2017.
Residential Learning & University Housing is now recruiting candidates for Resident Assistant positions for the 2016-2017 academic year. Resident Assistants (RAs) are peer leaders trained to help students adjust to the university environment and promote the development of a safe, supportive and inclusive residential community.
Please note the RA employment expectation is a full academic year appointment. As part of the screening process, the applicant’s transcript and discipline record will be reviewed. Applicants should have a 2.5 GPA to be considered and a favorable student discipline record. Benefits of the position include; a single room in the assigned residence hall or apartment, annual stipend of $800, paid bi-weekly during the academic year, a 14 meals/week plan, and lots of professional development. RAs are permitted to work on campus for 10hrs/week from 7:30am – 7:30pm. RAs are not permitted to work off campus due to demands of position.
