Residence Halls

Rowan University currently features eight residence halls with a variety of living and learning environments. Each hall has numerous programs geared towards the residents along with a staff of trained student and professional staff members. Nestled among the trees in historic Glassboro, New Jersey, the on-campus residence halls house over 1,500 students. Freshman halls are indicated by the following (*) next to the name. Chestnut Hall

Chestnut Hall*

Chestnut Hall is designated as one of the six freshmen halls which has special programming geared towards the "First Year Experience" of living on campus. The building houses up to 384 students on three floors. The building is arranged in same gender suites that can accommodate 5 to 16 students. Each suite shares a large common bathroom and lounge. Hallways and lounges are carpeted and furnished with couches and chairs. The common hallways and community bathrooms are cleaned by University Housing staff. Chestnut Hall is carpeted.

Evergeen Hall  

Evergreen Hall*

Evergreen Hall is designated as one of the six freshmen halls which has special programming geared towards the "First Year Experience" of living on campus. For the 2010-2011 academic year, the first two floors house upperclass students. The building houses 206 students and is nestled in the trees on the south side of the campus adjacent to Mullica Hall. It consists of three co-ed floors, split into 2 seperate wings. Each floor consists of four-person suites which are two double occupancy rooms joined by a bathroom. All suites are designated same gender. While the common hallways and lounge are cleaned by University Housing staff, it is the responsibility of the residents in each suite to clean their own bathroom. Evergreen Hall is not carpeted.

Magnolia Hall  

Magnolia Hall*

Magnolia Hall is designated as one of the six freshmen halls which has special programming geared towards the "First Year Experience" of living on campus. The building houses up to 201 students on three floors. The building is arranged in same gender suites that can accommodate 5 to 16 students. Each suite shares a large common bathroom and lounge. Hallways and lounges are carpeted and furnished with couches and chairs. The common hallways and community bathrooms are cleaned by University Housing staff. Magnolia Hall is carpeted.

Mimosa Hall  

Mimosa Hall*

Mimosa Hall is designated as one of the six freshmen halls which has special programming geared towards the "First Year Experience" of living on campus. The building houses up to 315 students on 4 floors. The building consists of same gender suites made up of 2-3 rooms that share a private bathroom. While the common hallways are cleaned by University Housing staff, it is the responsibility of the residents in each suite to clean their own bathroom. Mimosa Hall is not carpeted.

Mullica Hall  

Mullica Hall*

Mullica Hall houses up to 104 students on three floors and is nestled in the trees on the South side of the campus adjacent to Evergreen Hall. It consists of three co-ed floors. Each floor consists of four person suites which are two double occupancy rooms joined by a bathroom. All suites are designated same gender. While the common hallways are cleaned by University Housing staff, it is the responsibility of the residents in each suite to clean their own bathroom. Mullica Hall is not carpeted.

Oak & Laurel Hall  

Oak & Laurel Hall

Oak and Laurel Halls house up to 59 students each on three floors, per building. This traditional residence hall is reserved for freshmen students. The buildings are arranged in same gender suites which can accommodate 8-14 students. Located in the suite is a one or two bathrooms. The common hallways and community bathrooms are cleaned by University Housing staff. Oak & Laurel Halls are not carpeted.

Willow Hall  

Willow Hall*

Willow Hall is designated as one of the six freshmen halls which has special programming geared towards the "First Year Experience" of living on campus. The building houses up to 203 students on three floors. The building is arranged in same gender suites that can accommodate 5 to 16 students. Each suite shares a large common bathroom and lounge. Hallways and lounges are carpeted and furnished with couches and chairs. The common hallways and community bathrooms are cleaned by University Housing staff. Willow Hall is carpeted.
