Dear Prospective Student,
The Admissions Office and the Office of Multicultural Affairs are pleased to announce our annual, “A
Day In the Life of a College Student,” program.
We recognize that one of the issues facing students of color when considering higher education is
exposure to the college environment. “A Day In the Life of a College Student” will provide you with the
opportunity to experience Rowan University first hand! You will be paired up with a current Rowan
University student, stay overnight in his/her residence hall, attend college classes and participate in many
other planned college activities.
This program is geared for high school juniors and seniors of color who are academically talented and can
potentially benefit from spending time on a college campus. This exciting program will run:
Sunday, October 12 - Tuesday, October 14, 2007.
If you are selected to participate, you will be invited to travel to Rowan and stay with your host student
throughout the program. We will provide all meals, even transportation to and from the University (if
needed), completely free of charge.
Last year, we received an incredible response to this program. Don’t miss your chance.
Please complete and submit the application by:
Friday, October 3, 2008.
We hope you take advantage of this tremendous opportunity to discover Rowan University. Should you
have any questions or concerns, please contact us immediately as time is running short. You can reach J.T Mills at 856-256-4448, Jose Aviles at 856-256-4081.
We look forward to you joining us for “A Day In the Life of a College Student.”
