Rain Forces Commencement Exercises Indoors

Dear Rowan Friends and Family:

Although the forecast is calling for rain to continue to come down throughout the morning, our spirits are high on what is our most important day of the year.

Please join President Farish for Commencement indoors. This will be only the third time in more than 35 years that we have moved the exercises inside.

To accommodate all of our students and their guests, we will have to hold ceremonies in different locations, at different times of the day. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you understand our dilemma. Above all else, we want today to be happy for our graduates and their loved ones.

The following is a list of locations and the times when the ceremonies will be held.

Morning Session:
College of Communication
Student Recreation Center, 10:30 a.m.

College of Education
Esby Gym, 10:30 a.m.

College of Fine & Performing Arts

Pfleeger Concert Hall, Wilson Hall, 10:30 a.m.

Afternoon Session:
College of Business
Student Recreation Center, 2 p.m.

College of Engineering
Wilson Hall, 2 p.m.

College of Liberal Arts & Sciences
Esby Gym, 2 p.m.

If you are unsure which college your student is in, please visit www.rowan.edu/provost/academic_affairs/admissions/acadprograms, where you can view a list of majors and their corresponding colleges. To find the location of a ceremony on a map, visit www.rowan.edu/map

Due to capacity limitations and fire regulations, tickets are required for entry to indoor ceremonies. We’re sorry, but no extra tickets are available.

In advance, thank you for your patience, and congratulations to all of our 2008 graduates.
