The latest rankings by U.S. News & World Report place Rowan University at 19th place among Best Regional Universities — North.
This makes the 13th consecutive year that the esteemed publication has included the Glassboro-based University among the best institutions of higher learning in the nation.
Last year, U.S. News & World Report ranked Rowan 21st (tied) in the category, which includes universities that primarily provide comprehensive undergraduate and master’s programs.
Rowan ranked in third place among Top Public Regional Universities in the North, a position it has held for the past three years.
U.S. News & World Report includes 180 colleges and universities in the North category, with institutions from Maine through Maryland.
The 2013 edition of the Best Colleges guidebook will hit newsstands on Sept. 18. Rankings can be found at http://www.usnews.com.

Institutional rankings are based on measures of quality that include peer assessment, retention and graduation of students, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.
More than 12,000 students are enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral programs at Rowan.
