Local colleges rank well on U.S. News list

Local colleges remained competitive in the annual U.S. News and World Report 2005 Best Colleges listings. The Chemical Engineering Department ranked third, the Mechanical Engineering Department tied for 11th and the Civil Engineering Department tied for 12th. Other area colleges ranking highly included Villanova University, University of Pennsylvania, Swarthmore College, and Haverford College.
