Gloucester County Times
November 06, 2001

GLASSBORO -- Rowan University's Center for Addiction Studies was given a $790,000 state grant to teach state college students of the dangers of club drugs, such as Ecstasy.

The project, to be headed by Rowan professors Linda Jeffrey and Pamela Negro, will include airing radio spots that support prevention and awareness and distributing posters, T-shirts and key rings.

The center will also sponsor a statewide dance marathon and provide training for college security and counseling staffs to handle drug abuse. Four New Jersey colleges will be designated as resource sites and support centers.
