H.S. Students to Compete in Computing at Rowan UniversityApril 07, 2005
High school students from thoughout South Jersey will compete in the 19th Annual South Jersey Regional High School Programming Contest on Saturday, April 9, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Robinson Building computer labs at Rowan University (main rooms ? 201 A & B).
The contest pits tops computer programming students who won contests at New Jersey county colleges earlier in the year.
During the Rowan event, the students ? working in teams of two -- will solve a computer programming problem, the nature of which is secret until the day of the contest. Judges will select first-, second- and third-place teams in two computer languages: Java and Basic.
The first-place winners will earn a partial scholarship to Rowan.
