Rowan, Williamstown students make a splash with mini-submarine

December 15, 2006

More than 40 students from Williamstown High School and a handful of computer science and engineering students from Rowan University will test a software system they designed and built to control a submarine the high school students constructed on Tuesday, December 19, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. starting in Robinson Hall 312 and moving to the pool in the Student Rec Center.

A real-world project for software engineering students, the work is exposing the high school students to the entire software lifecycle development. Rowan computer science, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering students and/or staff have been working with the Williamstown team to develop the submarine.
