Poet Betsy Andrews to present reading at Rowan

Poet Betsy Andrews, whose new book, "New Jersey," was inspired by the New Jersey Turnpike, will read from her works on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m. in Boyd Recital Hall in Wilson Hall at Rowan University.

The reading is free and open to the public. A book signing and refreshments will follow.

"New Jersey" was awarded the 2007 Brittingham Prize in Poetry.

Andrews also is the author of "She-Devil" and "In Trouble" (with Bruce Andrews). Her poems, essays and reviews have appeared widely in publications ranging from "PRACTICE" to the Yemeni newspaper "Culture."

Andrews was awarded a 2007 New York Foundation of the Arts Fellowship in Poetry.
