Rowan Radio to broadcast home games of 2008 Camden Riversharks

January 22, 2008

For the second straight year, Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM will be the home of Camden Riversharks baseball.

The station, housed in Rowan University's College of Communication, will present live coverage of all 11 Friday home Riversharks games. Additionally, the team's remaining 29 home games will be available as Internet podcasts at wgls.rowan.edu.

"Riversharks games give our students a chance to gain real-world broadcast experience during their time at Rowan," Frank Hogan, general manager of WGLS-FM says. "This partnership is a win-win for the University and for the Riversharks."

"Returning to Rowan Radio makes a lot of sense for us," says Riversharks general manager Adam Lorber. "Last year proved successful, and we're happy to be back on WGLS-FM for 2008."

The Riversharks, who play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, open the 2008 season on Friday, April 25, at 7:05 p.m. against the York Revolution. For the complete schedule visit www.riversharks.com.
