Rowan hosts professional conference for women

The Women's Professional Network of Rowan University will host Women at Work: Build Your Future, a morning of workshops and conversation designed for personal and professional development for women working in higher education, on Friday, April 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Eynon Ballroom in the Student Center

Keynote speaker Dr. R. Barbara Gitenstein, the first female president of The College of New Jersey, will discuss her journey as a woman in higher education. General session speaker Kirstin Carey, award-winning professional speaker, founder of Orange Tree Consulting and author of "40 Ways to Communicate Better with Anyone About Anything," will challenge participants to advance their ideas and get the results they want with less effort and less drama.

The cost is $30 and includes a continental breakfast and lunch. Registration is due by March 20.
