String Ensemble hosts international guest

The Rowan String Ensemble welcomes international cellist Constantin Negoita to its concert on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 8 pm in Boyd Recital Hall on the university campus in Glassboro.

Under the direction of George Atanasiu, the Ensemble program will feature works by Handel, Pugnani, Haydn and Sibelius. Negoita is principal cellist with the Bern Symphony Orchestra in Switzerland.

The student ensemble features violinists Set Rodriguez, Elizabeth Maxfield, Jessica Kurdik, Monica Zheng, Frank Lakatos, Andrew Johnson and Micah Walters; violists Amy Baals and Jonam Walters; cellists Joe Kim, Brian Nicholls and Thomas Wagner; and bassists Andrew Bohn, Victor Caraballo and Marisa Chang.

Boyd Recital Hall is located in Wilson Hall on the campus of Rowan University, Route 322 in Glassboro. The performance is free and open to the public.
