CPAs award scholarships to Rowan business students
May 15, 2008The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants recently awarded $4,000 scholarships to three students in the Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University.
The scholarships, which recognize academic achievement and a commitment to accounting education, went to:
- Ryan Barnes, 20, a junior accounting major from Randolph, Morris County, and Beach Haven, Ocean County
- Jesse Liszkiewicz, 22, a senior accounting major from Washington Township, Gloucester County
- Jennifer Maniscalco, 22, a junior accounting major from Brick, Ocean County
The Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University offers undergraduate majors in accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, human resources management, management, marketing, and management information systems as well as a M.B.A. program. Approximately 1,100 undergraduate and 80 graduate students are enrolled for spring 2008 in the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) accredited college. Recipient of a $10-million gift from The William G. Rohrer Charitable Foundation in March 2005, the Rohrer College of Business hosts a business incubator, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Entrepreneurs Forum of Southern New Jersey.
