Hackel earns doctorate in education from Rowan University

Doylestown resident Adam William Michael Hackel recently earned his doctoral degree in educational leadership from Rowan University's College of Education.

Band director at Montgomery Middle School in Skillman, N.J., Hackel's seven-year journey toward earning his doctorate took a detour when he served a 15-month deployment to Iraq with the U.S. Army Reserve. A major in the Reserve, Hackel serves as chief of public affairs for the 99th Regional Support Command at Fort Dix, N.J.

Hackel earned his bachelor's degree in conducting and orchestration from Tulane University (1994) and his master's degree in educational administration from Kean University (2001).

He also completed the Intermediate Level Education of the  Army's Command and General Staff College.
