Atco resident earns doctorate from Rowan
June 03, 2008Atco resident Carolyn Gibson recently received her doctorate in educational leadership from Rowan University's College of Education.
The title of Gibson's doctoral dissertation was, "The Double Jeopardy of Gender and Race and its Impact on the Leadership of African American Women."
A divisional assistant superintendent for the Trenton Public Schools, Gibson earned her master's degree in guidance and counseling from Rider University in 1976 and her bachelor's degree in health/physical education from Douglass College in 1973.
She is originally from Somerville.
