Conference chair Dr. Dilip Mirchandani, chair of Rowan's Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, said that sustainability is a critical issue for businesses as well as the general public. "It's the whole future. We can't continue the way we are we are on a trajectory that will devastate the planet, and we need to find a way to build sustainable economies and sustainable societies in the near future," he said. "We're trying to find what companies are doing, what challenges they face with respect to the three elements of sustainability - economic, environmental and social."
Sustainable Business Practices is free for presenters and students. The fee is $25 for professors and others from academic institutions and $35 for corporate participants.
