Conference awards four Rowan business students
June 11, 2009Four Rohrer College of Business students at Rowan University recently were awarded $750 scholarships from the South Jersey Working Together Conference.
The students are:
• Krystle Ellis, of Blackwood, a rising senior accounting major
• Caleb Kearney, of Washington Township, a rising senior management information systems major
• Elizabeth Ryan, of Kendall Park (Middlesex County), a rising junior management major
• Shan Zhang, of Belmar (Monmouth County), a rising junior accounting major
The South Jersey Working Together conference, hosted for the fourth time by Rowan in June, is a joint effort of public and private tax professionals that promotes the relationship between the tax practitioner community and the Internal Revenue Service with the goal of improving service to the taxpaying public.
The day is sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service, New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, New Jersey Association of Public Accountants, New Jersey Society of Enrolled Agents, New Jersey Bar Association, New Jersey Chapter of the American Association of Attorneys, New Jersey chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants and New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
