Rowan University again offers National Science Foundation scholarships
December 21, 2009Thanks to a $600,000 grant from the National Science Foundation, Rowan’s College of Engineering extends four-year scholarships for some financially qualified and talented full-time students entering Rowan’s chemical, civil & environmental, electrical and computer or mechanical engineering programs in fall 2010.
The “NSF Engineering Scholarships,” are also known as “S-STEM: Scholarships to Enhance the High-Tech Workforce of Southern New Jersey.”
The scholarships, up to $3,000 per year for up to four years, replace student loans, but will not replace other grants or scholarship awards. All U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens accepted to the college in Fall 2010, and demonstrating financial need (determined by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid) will be automatically considered for the award.
