Rohrer College of Business student awarded human resources scholarship

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Foundation recently recognized Rowan University senior Ellen Grady as a future leader of the human resources profession by awarding her a $2,500 SHRM Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship. Grady is a human resource management major from West Milford.

According to the SHRM Foundation, it is a non-profit organization that promotes innovation, education and research in the human resources field to maximize the impact of the profession on organizational decision-making.

The SHRM awarded $27,500 in undergraduate awards to SHRM student members in 2009. Scholarships are based primarily on scholastic merit and also on outstanding accomplishments and character.

The SHRM Foundation received more than 200 applications for 11 undergraduate scholarships.
