The Working Together Conference is the culmination of a year-long joint effort by public and private tax professionals to develop an agenda to address the practical needs of tax practitioners.

“The conference is designed to promote relationships, not just for one day, but for every day throughout the year where the IRS and tax professional partners can come together to identify and resolve common issues and concerns,” said New Jersey’s IRS spokesperson Gregg Semanick.

The conference is open to IRS and NJ Department of Revenue employees and the practitioner community. The agenda includes presentations on Return Preparer Review, Employment Taxes, Examination Issues, Collection Issues and Taxpayers with Financial Difficulties.

This year’s keynote speaker is John Imhoff, director, Small Business/Self-Employed Division, Specialty Taxes. Imhoff’s expertise is in the area of employment, excise and estate taxes.
