Advising some of nation's wealthiest familiesAugust 15, 2011
When he was a Rowan University undergraduate, Jack A. Hafner, Jr. wasn't planning on a career advising some of the wealthiest people in the nation.
"I just fell into it," says Hafner, who earned his bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting from Rowan in 1993. "I used my accounting degree as the foundation for my career."
As director of Private Banking USA for Credit Suisse PBUSA Philadelphia, based in West Conshohocken, Pa., Hafner has advised ultra high net worth families and individuals for 18 years.
He also serves as the head portfolio manager for The Credit Suisse MLP Advantage Portfolio, a managed portfolio of publicly traded flow-through entities.
Hafner began his wealth management career in 1993, when he joined Kidder Peabody. He also worked in private client services for First Union and Lehman Brothers.
A certified financial planner, Hafner earned a certificate in financial planning from New York University. He lives in Villanova, Pa. with his wife, Barbara, and son, Jack III.
