Rowan University's Henry M. Rowan Speaker Series presents "Game Changers in Energy Management"April 04, 2013
Kris Ohleth, director of permitting for the Atlantic Wind Connection backbone transmission project, will present on Thursday, April 11, at 1:45 p.m. in Rowan Hall Auditorium in the latest installment of the Rowan University College of Engineering’s Henry M. Rowan Speaker Series.
“Game Changers in Energy Management” explores the New Jersey Energy Link project – a one-of-a-kind offshore backbone transmission system proposed to connect the offshore wind farms to be built off the coast of New Jersey to the state’s terrestrial electricity grid. Attendees can learn how this transmission project, coupled with offshore wind farms, can affect the state and region’s economy, environment and transmission capacity.
Ohleth serves on the board of the U.S. Offshore Wind Collaborative and the New Jersey Environmental Lobby and is the chair of the New York/New Jersey Chapter of the Women of Wind Energy.
The College of Engineering and Dean’s Advisory Council collaboratively sponsor the Henry M. Rowan Speaker Series, featuring top industry professionals. These sessions are free and open to the public. RSVP to Kathy Urbano, 856-256-5309, email@example.com.
