Jeffrey Hettinger, Physics; Maria Rosado, Geography/Anthropology; Sam Lofland, Physics; Amos Mugweru, Chemistry & Biochemistry; Chary Ramanujachary, Chemistry & Biochemistry; and Paris Von Lockette, Mechanical Engineering, received a $227,422 research grant/contract from the National Science Foundation to purchase a wavelength dispersive x-ray fluorescence instrument to be shared by at least four departments to be used for quantitative elemental composition analysis
