Dr. Jenny Taitz, a clinical psychologist at the American Institute for Cognitive Therapy joined host Matt Kazin to discuss eating disorder trends in young girls. Dr. Taitz mentioned the emphasis people place on how they look physically with pressures coming from magazines, pop culture and even one's parents. Later, Dr. Taitz mentioned possible reasons why people think so critically of their appearances.

Dr. Wes Crenshaw, couples and family psychologist, joined host Matt Kazin to discuss the always-relevant topic of bullying. Dr. Crenshaw explained how social media plays a part in 21st century bullying as well as the changing face of bullying in the young girl population. Later, the term "mean-kid behavior" bullying was explained and why it is the most popular form of bullying among young people. Finally, Dr. Crenshaw outlined three words parents should avoid when having discussions with kids.

In a special edition of A Community Affair, Student Station Manager John Salvatore spoke with Glassboro students and coordinators involved with the Learning Stages production of The Wizard of Oz, held at Glassboro High School on Thursday and Friday July 12th and 13th. The students discussed the audition and rehearsal process for the show. Later, Renee Post, executive director of Learning Stages, talked about the importance of education in arts for the students involved in the productions.

Dan Pacewicz, Public Education Coordinator at the Washington Township Fire Department, joined host Matt Kazin to talk about fire prevention and safety. He discussed ways people can keep safe from different types of fires and effective methods for teaching children fire safety. Finally, Pacewicz talked about how ordinary civilians can help aid firefighters.

New Jersey State Safety Council President Bill Margaretta joined host Matt Kazin to discuss driving safety. The NJ State Safety Council seeks to reduce accidental death and trauma. Margaretta brought up facts and figures pertaining to cell phones and driving and drivers' impairment when using mobile phones while driving. In addition, Margaretta made comparisons to using a cell phone while driving to driving under the influence.

Host Matt Kazin spoke with Andrea Infante, epilepsy research coordinator for South Jersey of the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey. Infante talked about what exactly epilepsy is and the types of seizures that people with epilepsy suffer from. In addition, Infante explained different first aid methods if anyone should see someone having a seizure. She mentioned the T.R.U.S.T method to help people remember first-aid details. Host Tyler Mulvey talked with Ike Ikokwu, CEO of Winning the Money Game with Ike Inc--the premier provider of accounting, tax, insurance and financial advisory services to help you win, and author of "Winning the Money Game: Separating the Myth from the Truth." Ikokwu spoke about how he and his partners are giving away bonus gifts to everyone who purchases his book. Originally from West Africa, Ikokwu attributes his success to his ability to save money in a makeshift bank starting at age eight.

Assistant Public Affairs Director Tyler Mulvey talked with Gil Rio, a dating coach from Love Systems Inc. Rio spoke about his work teaching men how to meet, attract and date beautiful women. Rio also mentioned a seminar he will be holding in Philadelphia on June 10th to give an introductory presentation on female psychology and dating science.

Todd Stofka, a certified hypnotherapist and a master practitioner of nervo-linguistic psychology, joined host Matt Kazin to discuss the use of his own techniques (called the Stofka Method) to help athletes overcome fears in their respective sports, students do better on exams and ways people can lose weight and quit smoking.

Sierra Johnson, Regional Recruiter for the Peace Corps, joined host Assistant Public Affairs Director Tyler Mulvey to discuss the mission of the Peace Corps, how it was started and what she did as a volunteer through the program. With volunteers in over 75 countries, the Peace Corps ensures absolute safety for their volunteers and gives volunteers a strong bond between each other. The minimum age for volunteers is eighteen.
