The Support Desk

The IRT Support Desk, a unit of Network and System Services (NSS), is responsible for assisting employees and students with computer and telecommunication issues. The main service of the Support Desk is to troubleshoot computer software and hardware, email, printing, access to network servers, network passwords, and all aspects telecommunications.

Additionally, the Support Desk supports specific software and hardware deployed by NSS and individual personal desktop and mobile devices. Technical support is also available to assist users with connecting to the Rowan Cloud and other network servers from on or off campus. 

Another valuable resource is Rowan's Knowledge Base, a web-based application that allows users to find their own answers to technical questions. To access, isit http://support.rowan.edu.

Location

The Support Desk is located on the first floor in Memorial Hall South, adjacent to Bunce Hall and across from Bozorth Hall.

Hours

Support Desk hours are 8:00 am through 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

During the first two weeks of the fall and spring semesters, hours are extended to 6:30 pm Monday through Thursday.

The Support Desk is located in Memorial Hall on the South-Side of the Glassboro Campus.


The following is a list of available services:
  • Technical assistance for campus and home connectivity
  • Network and System Services supported software
  • Network accounts for logging into campus computers, downloading university software and e-mail
  • Banner account information
  • Entering service requests for computer, phone, printer repair, Banner and account information
  • Switchboard Operator
  • Telephone request, exchange and/or replacement
  • Telephone billing
  • Voice mail for faculty and staff
  • Remote Control services

How to Submit a Work Order

If you need to report a problem, there are three convenient ways to submit a work order:

  1. On the Internet visit http://support.rowan.edu. Login with your network username and password. If you do not know your username or password go to http://www.rowan.edu/password to reset your password and retreive your username.
  2. Send mail to support@rowan.edu.
  3. By telephone, if on campus call Extension 4400. If you are off campus dial 856.256.4400.

Also, you can visit the Rowan Support Desk in Memorial Hall South. They can help you quickly resolve your questions or problems.
