What
we do (and don't do) in the Workshop
The
NSS workshop will be able to complete most repairs on your
computer. We will complete repairs only on the machines
of Rowan Faculty, Staff and Students. This includes:
- Removing
Viruses, Spyware or Malware
- Reinstalling
Windows (the customer MUST provide an original copy of
the software/software license)
- Replacing
defective parts.
Also,
we can complete most upgrades (i.e. memory upgrades), however,
the customer MUST provide the parts.
The
workshop can also complete warranty repairs on MOST Lenovo
systems. However, we can not perform warranty work for any
other manufacturer at this time. Please consult with you
manufacturer if you are having hardware issues and your
machine is under warranty.
Please
note: All important data must be backed up before a
computer is brought to the shop. We are not responsible
for data loss. We reserve the right to refuse to work on
any machine. We will be able to assist you with backing
up your data, but you must be present. The Workshop
is where faculty and students can bring equipment to be
set up or repaired on a first-come, first-serve basis. Shop
hours are posted by semester according to the schedule of
the student staff. The Workshop is located on the first
floor of Memorial Hall in the same wing of the building

How to get to
the Workshop
Go
to the main entrance of Memorial Hall (by the guard house).
Walk through the main doors. Take a right down the hallway.
Take a right at the end of the hallway, where IT is located
directly in front of you. Proceed to take the stairs up
to the landing and the workshop is located directly in front
of you.
OR
Enter
Memorial Hall through the Support Desk entrance. Walk through
the offices to the second opening on your left (under the
exit sign). Walk down the hallway, make a left and the workshop
will be located in front of you to the left.
