What
is a VPN client?
Our
VPN (Virtual Private Network) Client allows you to access
Rowan University Network resources from home as if you were
on campus. A VPN is a secured private network connection
built on top of publicly accessible infrastructure.

Using
the Library's Databases
You
can connect to the Library's databases from home using the
VPN client. When you open the client you will see this screen:
You
will need to choose the RowanLibrary connection and login
as you would normally.
This
is the only time you should use this connection. The RowanLibrary
connection sends ALL of your web traffic
through the Rowan connection (and will slow down non-Rowan
traffic) where as the normal RowanVPN connection only sends
Rowan traffic through the VPN connection.
