Office 2007 PC Upgrade Information

All PC users on the Rowan network, with the exception of individuals teaching or designing curriculum for MS Office 2003, are asked to complete the software upgrade to MS Office 2007 by February 29, 2008.  Instructions are as follows (installation will take up to 60 minutes):

1. Reboot your computer and refresh the Application Explorer. To refresh, right-click the Application Explorer icon on the task bar at the bottom right of your screen and select Refresh.

2. Select green start menu at bottom left of screen
3. Choose Programs or All Programs
4. Choose Network Applications > Applications > Microsoft
5. Select Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise v2

Individuals working in MS Office 2003 must download a compatibility pack in order to open files created in MS Office 2007.  Instructions are as follows (installation will take up to 1 minute):

3. Choose Programs or All Programs
4. Choose Network Applications > Applications > Microsoft
5. Select Microsoft Office 2003 File Format Converter for Office 2007
