Technopalooza is coming!
IRT Training Services is busy getting ready for our annual event, Technopalooza ’14! This years event takes place on Wednesday, November 12 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Join us in Memorial Hall, Training Rooms A and B, to experience the latest technology developments at Rowan University.
In its ninth year, Technopalooza provides an opportunity for the campus to meet the IRT Training Services’ staff, as well as those from Information Resources, and other technology experts from the Rowan campuses.
Set up in an expo-like format, guests can browse tables, talk with our staff, attend mini-sessions, and explore new technologies, hands-on.

Did you know the Campbell Library now has a Digital Learning Center available to all students, faculty, and staff? Enhance your technological literacy with workshops, check out equipment, and work with new technology in a studio at the Digital Learning Center. Interested in exploring lynda.com online training but never seem to have the time? Step out of your hectic office into our quiet training room for a chance to review hands-on what lynda.com offers or spend time taking one of their online classes. Headsets will be provided. A one-on-one overview of the site, how to login and highlights of what lynda.com offers can be provided if needed.
Richard Raively, Assistant Supervisor of Facilities, uses lynda.com to be more productive.
"I took an AutoCADD class on lynda.com to get me up to speed with a newer version creating floor plans," said Raively. "I picked up new shortcuts that make my day go faster."
Morgan Elizabeth Spade, a Professor in the Communication's department found success in her projects with lynda.com
"Before my first video shoot, I watched foundations of Video: Cameras and Shooting with Anthony Q. Artis," said Spade. "The instruction is simple and the results are effective. I don’t have training in lighting a scene, so that was one of the most useful for me!"
