In preparation for anticipated campus-wide transition to MS Office 2008 for the Macintosh community this fall, 12 individuals throughout the campus are currently participating in a 9-week pilot group. Participants upgraded their software from MS Office 2004 to MS Office 2008, are communicating challenges and solutions with pilot group participants, and will discuss recommendations which will directly shape the technical training programming. Pilot group results will be available June 2008. Visit Feedback Forum to read pilot group recommendations. To prepare yourself for the upgrade, summer sessions include:

During its first three years, IR Training Services has evaluated technology training needs annually in order to provide flexible training solutions. Now that the unit is more established, we look to create a rolling 3-yr plan to effectively provide technology development to the campus community which continues to meet our standards of excellence.
We’re in the beginning phase of this initiative, and are working to engage the campus community in the planning process to ensure we continue to address the technology development needs and concerns of Rowan’s faculty, staff and administration.
Keep your eye on Tech Training Tidbits to watch the process unfold. Read our latest post on anticipated major software upgrades that will affect the campus community by visiting: http://blogs.rowan.edu/irtraining
