How do I end my Feedback Forum membership?
Introduced October 2005 by Information Resources Training Services, Feedback Forum provides faculty, staff, and administrators the exclusive opportunity to preview new training programs, materials, and online experiences and provide constructive feedback. If you like to try new things and want to be actively involved in shaping the technical training delivered at Rowan University, IR Training Services invites you to become a member of Feedback Forum.
1. Become a member of Feedback Forum
Send e-mail to irtraining@rowan.edu with your first and last name, department, phone, and Mac or PC preference.
2. Receive notification of focus group opportunity
Feedback Forum members are notified via e-mail when a focus group opportunity is available. You are invited to review the topic, estimated time commitment, pertinent details, and accept or decline participation. To participate, e-mail irtraining@rowan.edu indicating that you WILL be participating in the focus group. If we do not hear from you, we assume you are not available to participate, and will refrain from communicating further regarding the particular focus group.
3. Complete focus group activity
Review the background information and complete the focus group activity outlined. If you have any questions regarding the activity your focus group facilitator will be available to assist. Click here to view a sample activity.
4. Provide feedback
Depending on the nature of the focus group activity, an appropriate method for providing feedback will be available. Methods range from open group discussion, one-on-one interview, written survey, online questionnaire, online discussion or chat, and more.
5. Focus group summary provided
A summary is then provided detailing the overall findings of the focus group after all participant feedback is collected and analyzed.
6. Receive acknowledgement of participation
If you wish to identify yourself when providing feedback, you will receive a letter acknowledging your participation in the focus group for your files.
How often are focus group opportunities available?
On average, focus group opportunities are available every 2-3 months. Please check focus group activities for upcoming topics.
How long does it take to complete a focus group?
We value your time. Each focus group activity will indicate an estimated time commitment, and method of review (i.e. group discussion, one-on-one interview, written survey, online questionnaire, etc). Estimates may range from one to three hours. You may accept or decline focus group activities as you wish.
How do I end my Feedback Forum membership?
You may remain a member of Feedback Forum for as long as you wish. To end your membership, please e-mail irtraining@rowan.edu indicating your wish to stop participation in Feedback Forum.
