Here a few helpful hints to get organized and ready before the hustle and bustle of the fall semester:

 

 

Delete Large Emails
Get rid of large sized emails to prevent you from reaching your size limit. Once you reach your limit, you can no longer receive emails until you eliminate some. To prevent this:

1. Open email

2. Go to Search Folders, Large Mail down the left side of your email.

3. Delete  unnecessary emails.

Organize Your H: Drive
Scan through the documents located on the H: drive to delete those you know longer need. As with your email, you can create folders to get organized, by:

1. Browsing to your H: Drive

2. Clicking on My Documents

3. Clicking on Make a New Folder

4. Name the folder

5. Create a subfolder by clicking the folder just created and clicking on Make a New Folder. Name the folder. (optional)

 

Register for Technology Training

Sign up for a technology training session in Adobe Acrobat 8 Forms, CustomGuide Online Training Demo, or any other regularly scheduled sessions, to prepare for fall projects.

Backup Your Files to the H: Drive

Make a copy of your files and get easy access to them around campus by saving files to your H: Drive. Here’s how:

1. Find your document

2. Click on Copy This File

3. Browse to the H: Drive

4. Save document in existing folder or create a new folder.

 

Backup Your Bookmarks or Favorites

Don’t take a chance at losing bookmarks or favorites that you rely on a regular basis. Back them up by:

 

Mac Users using Safari, select:

1. File

2. Export

3. Browse to the H: drive

4. Create and name a folder

5. Click Save

 

PC Users using Internet Explorer, select:

1. File

2. Import and Export (this will open the Import/Export Wizard)

3. Next

4. Select Export Favorites

5. Next

6. Next

7. Select Export to a File or Address

8. Browse to your H: drive

9. Create a folder and name it Bookmarks

10. Open

11. Save
