Student Life & Wellness

The Rowan University Forging Forward Spark.

Ways to Support Students

Rowan encourages healthy life choices, multicultural competency, personal and professional growth, campus and community involvement, civic responsibility and leadership development to help students prepare for life after Rowan.

  • The Rowan Fund supports the area of greatest need — these funds go where they're needed most, when they're needed most.
  • The SHOP, Rowan University's food pantry and resource center on the Glassboro campus, helps hundreds of students every week. Your gift will help replenish items like fresh produce, non-preishables, snacks, toiletries, clothing and more.
  • The Student Emergency Fund aids in helping students facing economic hardships, like an unexpected medical bill, loss of income due to sudden unemployment or travel home for a family emergency. Gifts to this area helps students stay on track during unforeseen circumstances.
  • Rowan Sport Clubs are devoted to enhancing opportunities for success and competitive greatness. Gifts to this area help support resources for facilities, equipment, recruitment, coaching, travel and more.
  • Academic Support Programs provided through University College ensure student success by offering tutoring, success coaching, and the academic improvement program. Additionally, University College provides academic and career pathways and accessible, high-quality services for all students.
  • The Autism PATH Program within the Office of Accessibility Services supports neurodivergent students and alumni in the transition to meaningful employment post-graduation.
  • Flying First supports Rowan's first-gen community, which is almost one-third of our undergraduate student population.
  • The Center for Well-Being is a comprehensive and inclusive campus resource center that supports and promotes the holistic development of all students, staff, and faculty, incorporating the six dimensions of Rowan Thrive, focused on physical, social, purpose, community, emotional, and financial well-being.
  • The Wellness Center is a fully integrated health and wellness facility that provides comprehensive health/wellness care, education, and programming to students, which also includes Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Shreiber Family Pet Therapy Program.
  • Rowan's Libraries offer superior resources to support the scholarship and research of our students.

Rowan Swimming taught me something even more significant: what it means to be a part of a
family.
Adjusting to living away from family was tough but through it all, swimming was my constant. Every time I pushed off the wall, I saw my teammates cheering me on—and I remember thinking, this is really awesome.
