Edelman Fossil Park & Museum
Edelman Fossil Park & Museum
Rowan University proudly welcomes you to Edelman Fossil Park & Museum in Mantua, NJ, where science, discovery, and adventure come to life.
Edelman Fossil Park & Museum serves as both an extraordinary public resource and a vital part of the University’s institutional mission to educate and demonstrate research in critical areas, including plant and animal biodiversity, earth sciences and environmental responsibility, all through the study of paleontology.
Supported generously by Rowan University alumni Jean ’81 and Ric ’80 Edelman, EFM is an immersive museum experience designed to transport visitors 66 million years back in time to discover the days of the dinosaurs, while also teaching about the present and future.
The museum features full-scale dinosaur sculptures, an interactive fossil scavenger hunt, free-roaming virtual reality and live animal exhibits. Outdoors, visitors can enjoy a hands-on fossil dig in the quarry, enjoy a peaceful walk through nature trails and soar into fun at the Pterosaur Pterrace Playground.
Discover the Past. Protect the Future.
