Faculty Interests

The GSBS faculty researchers strive to develop student scientists who will contribute new knowledge in the biomedical disciplines through creative research and scholarship. Collaborative research of faculty and students with other departments and schools within Rowan as well as other universities allows us to explore avenues to solve the emerging and urgent medical issues of both today and tomorrow.

GSBS research faculty represents a combination of faculty from the Cell Biology & Neuroscience and Molecular Biology departments of the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. The scope of research interests span a wide area in a number of disciplines and is both ‘Basic’ and more applied or ‘Translational’. These areas include basic research in cell and molecular biology, neuroscience, microbiology and virology and more clinically related research in cancer, Alzheimer’s, and cardiovascular physiology.
