Student Life

Campus Services


The “Top Doc’s Café” is located on the first floor of the Academic Center. Their hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Health Sciences Library

The Health Sciences Library at is located on the ground floor of the Academic Center and is a valued resource for RowanGSBS students. It has a generous capacity, which includes study carrels, study tables, small group study rooms, and quiet study rooms. Computer resources include desktop and laptop computers as well as scanners and a printer. Various software programs, both locally and loaded and on the Rowan Cloud, are available. In additional, the library offers a proof-reading service for our students.

Student Health Services

Located in Suite 2500 of the Rowan Medicine Building, students have access to the Department of Family Medicine. Charise Emery, the student health coordinator, can be reached by calling 856-566-6825. Students are provided with advisory and screening services and a degree of outpatient care and preventive medicine. The center is open on the following schedule:

Monday 9 am – 5 pm
Tuesday 8 am – 4 pm
Wednesday 9 am – 4 pm
Thursday 12 pm – 8:00 pm
Friday 8 am – 4 pm
(Lunch 2–3 pm and dinner on Thursday 6–7 pm)

University Behavioral Health Care Services

The Student Wellness Program (SWP) is a confidential counseling service which helps students deal effectively with stressors and pressures related to school, as well as personal problems that may affect their well-being, their home lives and/or their academic performance. Services are provided by the Rutgers University Behavioral HealthCare staff.

Day and evening appointments are available Monday through Friday; crisis services are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Wellness Center (Fitness)

The Wellness Center is located on the second floor of the Academic Center. It offers aerobic classes, free-weights, and a variety of Cybex and cardiovascular equipment.
