Rowan Prep, the community music school at Rowan University, offers private lessons, ensembles and music classes to musicians of all ages.

During audition workshops our instrumental faculty work with students in a small group setting to assist them in their preparation and give them direction for future practice. Audition workshops are designed for students preparing for college auditions or who plan to audition for regional band or orchestra in the near future.

All string instruments and playing levels are welcome to attend our free workshops during Violin and Viola Day.

Summer music camps are one-week programs that engage students in full ensemble experiences, chamber music, and master classes, coupled with evening concerts by students and faculty. Students will participate in a variety of social events and experience the excitement of ‘university living’ in air conditioned accommodations on campus.

Summer theatre and dance camp, for students ages 14 to 17, offers students a chance to devise and perform new work with some of the region's finest educators and performers. During this five-day camp students will live on campus and practice improvisation, movement exploration, contemporary performance technique, theatre composition and gain physical and vocal techniques necessary to create new work for today's audiences.
