The Interview Day

Interviews generally begin early September and conclude in April for each application cycle. Those applicants whose credentials are judged to be most competitive will be invited for an interview; interviews are not granted at an applicant’s request. Applicants who are not considered for the first round of interviews will be held for further review. Applicant files are periodically re-reviewed for interview consideration as updates are received. When the interview process concludes, those applicants who were not invited for an interview will be informed of a final admissions decision.

Interviews may take place Tuesday through Saturday in the morning. We schedule interview time slots based on the availability of our committee members. If an applicant is selected for an interview they will be notified via email which will instruct the applicant to login to the online applicant portal to select their interview date. Interviewees will be offered the option of attending a student-led campus tour.

Typical interviews will be conducted by one or two members of the Admissions Committee, which consists of Faculty, Professional Staff, and current 3rd and 4th year medical student members. The Admissions Committee takes a "holistic approach" when reviewing applications. Interview questions will generally focus on information contained in the interviewee’s application, familiarity with the Osteopathic profession, and the applicant’s “fit” with the mission, vision, and values of RowanSOM.
