Family Medicine Residency Program

  • Program Director: Alison Mancuso, DO, FACOFP
  • Residency Coordinator: Kathleen Locklear

Our residency program seeks to broaden the scope of knowledge from the medical school curriculum to both inpatient and outpatient clinical practice of medicine. The program is structurally committed to educating physicians in all aspects of medicine and surgery, and our training will qualify him/her to practice in the fields of family medicine.

The Rowan SOM Family Medicine Residency program is uniquely osteopathic in education. While we excel in Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy education and treatment, we integrate true Osteopathic Philosophy and Practice while promoting a philosophy of cooperation among our students, residents, and faculty. We have 223 paid faculty here at Rowan-SOM including19 full time paid faculty in the Department of Family Medicine. The Department of Family Medicine has achieved Level 3 NCQA PCMH Recognition at all four clinical sites. This does not include numerous volunteer faculty throughout the community.

The number of residents for the 2017/2018 academic year is as follows:

  • OGME 1 – 7
  • OGME 2 –7
  • OGME 3 – 7
  • TOTAL - 21
