Class of 2026 Commencement

Preparations for Commencement 2026 are in full swing as we get ready to celebrate our graduates and welcome their families and friends to Rowan University. We’re proud to continue hosting most ceremonies at Richard Wackar Stadium, allowing us to accommodate our growing graduating classes and their guests.

 

With record-breaking enrollment fueling Rowan’s momentum into its second century, the stadium venue enables us to celebrate more graduates and guests than ever before - while honoring the traditions that make Commencement Week so meaningful.

 

Commencement registration and guest ticketing will open on Saturday, February 1 at 12:00 p.m.

University Commencement Ceremony & Celebration

Graduates from all degree levels and all colleges and schools are invited to join this special university-wide celebration, featuring:

• ♦  Remarks from President Houshmand and distinguished speakers
• ♦  The official conferral of degrees
• ♦  Generous cash prizes donated by friends of the University (must be present to win)
• ♦  A festive celebration full of entertainment, photo opportunities, and complimentary    refreshments
• ♦  A beer and wine garden (21+, available for purchase)

 

Richard Wackar Stadium and Esbjornson Gymasium 

 

Twelve college and school ceremonies will be held throughout the week - most at Wackar Stadium - with livestreaming available for those unable to attend in person.  At each ceremony, graduates will be recognized individually by name, cross the stage, and receive a diploma cover, followed by a celebration.

 

 

Esbjornson Gymnasium

 

The School of Graduate Studies will host a special ceremony for Ed.D. and Ph.D. graduates, followed by a reception.

Commencement is a time for celebration in honor of the achievements of each of our graduates. In order to ensure that every individual has the opportunity to be formally recognized by their Rowan community, friends, and families, we require that graduates refrain from bringing additional parties with them as they walk across the stage to receive their diploma folder (i.e., no children, babies, or other loved ones; no pets). If you require the assistance of a personal attendant or service animal in walking across the stage, please email commencement@rowan.edu in advance of commencement.

 

Graduates should refrain from carrying cell phones or other electronic devices across the stage. The use of personal drones is likewise prohibited during commencement. We look forward to celebrating with our graduates!
